Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PropertyPass processes personal data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023.

1. Data Collection and Purpose

We collect personal data to facilitate real estate transparency and verification.

  • For Agents: Name, RERA ID, contact details, and office address for identity verification and service delivery.
  • For Properties (via Agents): Sale Deeds, Khata extracts, and Tax Receipts. This data is used to generate the "Verified" badge and Trust Score.
  • For Buyers: When you scan a QR code, we may collect your name, phone number, and basic device information to share with the Agent as a "qualified lead".

2. Consent and the Right to Withdraw

We process data only with your explicit consent. Agents affirm they have obtained consent from property owners before uploading documents.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer. Upon withdrawal, we will stop processing and delete the data within the statutory timeframe, unless retention is required by law (e.g., for RERA or tax audits).

3. Data Retention and Erasure

Under Rule 8 of the DPDPA Rules, we do not retain personal data beyond the period necessary to fulfill the purpose of collection.

Active Listings:

Documents are retained for the duration of the listing.

Deactivated Listings:

All sensitive property documents are deleted or anonymized within 30 days of the listing's removal.

4. Security of Personal Data

We implement "Reasonable Security Safeguards," including end-to-end encryption for document storage and secure access controls. However, the internet is not 100% secure. By using the Platform, you acknowledge these inherent risks.

5. Sharing of Data

We share verified property documents and agent contacts with Buyers who scan the authorized QR code. We may disclose data to law enforcement or courts in Varanasi only when presented with a valid judicial order.
